Outpatient Resident in Counseling
Hi there! I’m Meg and I’m a Resident in Counseling at Health in Mind. I transitioned to a career in Counseling after working in the fields of Education and Wedding Planning. My experience in these fields has allowed me to work with people across the lifespan as they tackle both the stressors of everyday life as well as the stressors of important life events. The blend of my experiences, when coupled with my counselor training and practice, has given me perspective and insight into the best ways to help and serve clients in all phases. I’m excited to be a part of this team of inspiring counselors here at Health in Mind.
I view counseling from a collaborative, person-centered, holistic, and systemic lens, working to help each client find meaning in their own unique set of life experiences. I provide warm, non-judgemental, trauma-informed, and strengths-based care and often incorporate narrative therapy, parts work, ACT, mindfulness practices, polyvagal theory, and EMDR into my work with clients. I gravitate towards working with people in early adulthood or anyone at any age experiencing a major life transition, including those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment, or grief and loss.
I am passionate about helping others reach their full potential and navigate the difficulties of all facets of life. I value empowering clients and helping them assemble individualized tools and techniques for living their lives in ways that work best for them. My “why” is being able to hold space for people’s stories, with all the highs, lows, and steady times that life brings. It is an honor to be trusted with these stories. I look forward to meeting each client where they are as they work towards their goals on their journeys of self-discovery.

Outpatient Resident in Counseling
As a counselor, I seek to connect with clients through empathetic listening and to support mental health and emotional balance. In my practice of massage and yoga, I have focused on easing chronic pain and using mindfulness techniques to promote awareness, relaxation, and health. The opportunity to bring this knowledge to counseling allows me to explore the connection between mind and body to promote mental and physical well-being as well as freedom.
The beauty and wonder of nature are a central part of my life. I am eager to learn about people and what inspires them. From there, I hope to encourage people to tell their own stories and help them to find their meaning. For those reasons, I am thrilled to be a part of the Health in Mind team!
